Trish Stratus takes part in a "glima wrestling" exhibition
Mar 6, 2008 - 12:39 PM

Former WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus took part in a "glima wrestling" exhibition on Wednesday night. She defeated by Icelandic Glima Wrestling Association women’s champion Svana Hronn Johannsdottir three falls to two.

Dot Net reader David Jonsson of Iceland writes: “She arrived on Sunday and has been taking in all the regular tourist activities, including the Golden circle and the Blue Lagoon... Professional wrestling is not well known in Iceland. One cannot see WWE on TV here, but Trish has still received media attention and is being introduced as the best female pro wrestler in the U.S.”

Powell’s POV: I assumed Trish would return to the wrestling eventually, but I never thought her first match back would take place place on a hard wooden surface in Iceland. This was not a pro wrestling match and was instead a series of takedowns.

Is the two-hour version of TNA Impact better than the old one-hour version of the show?
It's better. There's better character development and longer matches.
It's worse. The booking and non-wrestling segments are worse than ever.
No change. It's the same show only one hour longer.
