WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair's daughter pleads guilty following an incident in which she was struck by a taser gun twice
Jan 7, 2009 - 09:59 AM |
Ashley Fliehr pleaded guilty in court on Monday to resisting an officer and being intoxicated and disruptive during a fight between her father Ric Flair and her boyfriend in September, according to the Herald Sun website. The charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer was dismissed. "She did apologize in court for her actions and to the officer who was there," assistant district attorney Steve Motta said.
Ashley was sentenced to a suspended sentence of 45 days in jail. She is on supervised probation and is required to get an alcohol and drug assessment and treatment needed. She will also be subject to random searches and drug tests. To read the full story, visit HeraldSun.com.
Powell's POV: Ashley won't serve any time in jail if she fulfills the terms of her probation. The story noted that Ric did not attend the trial because he was traveling and let his daughter take care of the case on her own.
Ashley was so out of control that night that the officer used his taser gun on her. Only one of the probes attached to her, and the officer even warned that he'd shoot again if she didn't comply. She didn't mellow out, so she hit her with the taser again. Ouch.
