Jim Ross reports that Lance Cade suffered a seizure on an airplane, comments on bad comedy in wrestling
Oct 16, 2008 - 12:52 AM

Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.

-Ross on Lance Cade being released by WWE: "Lance Cade was dismissed from the WWE because, like many humans, he made a major league mistake while utilizing bad judgment that cost him his job. This included Lance having a seizure on an airplane and having to have emergency medial care.

Luckily, Lillian Garcia was on the same flight and was instrumental in helping Lance get taken to a hospital where a battery of tests were run that luckily determined that there was nothing seriously wrong with the young man such as a brain tumor, etc.

"Everyone makes mistakes, Lord knows I have made plenty in my career, but in this day and time some mistakes just simply can't be condoned. To some fans, Lance Cade will likely still be perceived as the victim in this matter and his punishment too harsh."

Powell's POV: Ross had a lot more to say about this situation, so check out his blog for further info. It sounds like a frightening situation and it's obvious there was more to the story than just a medical condition given that J.R. stated that Cade used "bad judgement that cost him his job."

-Ross on bad comedy in pro wrestling: "Is it just me or is there any thing worse on TV than seeing badly performed comedy on a wrestling show? I personally can deal with bad wrestling matches if the individuals are trying better than watching untrained wrestlers attempt to be comedic performers and fail."

Powell's POV: Nope, it's not just him. Sounds like J.R. suffered through Monday's Raw.

-Ross on the internet: "The wrestling internet is 'spoiler' crazy. The next thing they will be adding to their coverage is food reviews at the concession stands.

Powell's POV: That's a hell of an idea! Okay, maybe not. Funny, though, I don't remember reading any complaints from J.R. when I reviewed his Bar-B-Q sauce in one of my blogs. In case you missed it, I highly recommend the original sauce and the beef jerky was also very tasty. I still have to try the chipotle ketchup.

Other topics include ticket sales for recent WWE events and the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Couture fight, Bobby Lashley, and much more on Lance Cade.
