WWE official claims he's not worried about Smackdown viewership taking a hit on MyNetwork TV
By Jason Powell Oct 10, 2008 - 05:34 PM

WWE VP of Marketing Greg Rochester told Variety.com that the company isn't concerned with the viewership drop for Smackdown's first week on MyNetwork TV. "IT's not about where you start, it's where you end up," Rochester said. "We've seen this movie before. We've done this with other brands. This was week one. We're going to keep the pressure on this launch." To read the full story, visit Variety.com.

Powell's POV: WWE might be playing it cool in the media, but they are definitely keeping their fingers crossed regarding the jump to MyNetworkTV. The article notes that the show drew an average rating of 2.5 on The CW. The first week on MyNetwork drew a 1.9 final rating.
