Lawsuit filed by Nancy Benoit's family against Hustler magazine is dismissed, family still considering a wrongful death lawsuit against WWE
Oct 9, 2008 - 09:19 AM |
A U.S. District judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against Hustler magazine by the family of Nancy Benoit, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The photos were taken 25 years before they appeared in the March 2008 issue of the magazine.
The story notes that the Toffoloni family are still considering a wrongful death suit against World Wrestling Entertainment over Nancy's death. To read the full story, visit AJC.com. [Thanks to Dot Net Member T. Gladden]
Powell's POV: If there was a law against sleaziness, Hustler would have lost this lawsuit in a heartbeat. The judge even noted that the court "views publication of the photographs to be offensive and distasteful."
