WWE Raw on-site report: Powell recalls what happened in the arena that wasn't shown on television
Sep 29, 2008 - 11:51 PM

-The hard camera side of Target Center was filled to the rafters. The upper deck of the other side of the building was tarped off, but the lower deck was full.

-Chris Jericho and Lance Cade went backstage following Jericho's in-ring promo. They were introduced again for the main event just a short time later.

-The advertised dark match of Rey Mysterio and Batista vs. Chris Jericho and Kane did not take place. The live crowd didn't seem to mind, as many filed out after the main event.

-Triple H and Shawn Michaels played to the crowd after the main event. Hunter did the "For the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home..." line and was interrupted by Shawn, who whispered to him that the show went off the air. "Well, then for the millions who are not watching around the world..." Hunter responded. Lots of laughs over that line.

-Hunter and Michaels walked around the ring and slapped hands with the fans at ringside. Hunter stopped at one point to pose with a younger fan while his father (presumably) took a picture. Both guys went out of their way to shake every outreached hand. Shawn took it one step further by taking so much time that Hunter had to come back and was laughing while trying to get his attention.

-Best Fan Sign: "Fire Coach Childress." Well, at least I liked that one the most. There were some other wrestling related signs that were fun, including "Wait for me John Cena, I'm 13."

-I spotted Steel Domain Wrestling promoter Ed Hellier sitting the front row along with his son and my favorite referee Frank Stool (Ed's other son).

-Just a reminder that I'll have more to say about this show tomorrow in an audio update regarding the WWE Raw live experience.
