Dot Net WWE News: Undertaker injury update with comments from a peer
By Jason Powell Sep 29, 2008 - 11:39 AM

Undertaker is continuing to work despite his ongoing knee injury. As previously reported, he had his knee scoped during his recent layoff and returned early at WWE SummerSlam for his match with Edge. A correspondent's report noted that Taker was in obvious pain after working a dark match main event against Big Show at the last television tapings.

Taker sat down on the ring steps and then limped backstage. He also reportedly dislocated a finger during the match. However, this was news to people who saw him backstage after the show. Taker didn't mention his knee or his finger and was in good spirits. "He's a warrior," one observer noted. "He works banged up and he has for years. I think that's one of the reasons he's so respected."

Powell's POV: Taker continues to work mostly tag matches at the house shows. He's been teaming with Triple H on the overseas tour this week, as the company attempts to give him a break and let him ease his way back into action. The obvious concern is that he's done long-term damage to the knee by trying to comeback too soon.
