Jim Ross on the radio: WWE Hall of Fame candidates, Paul Heyman wrestling Ryback at Madison Square Garden
Dec 29, 2012 - 01:37 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross appeared on Sean Pendergast's Yahoo Sports Radio show on Saturday. Ross spoke about Paul Heyman wrestling Ryback at the Madison Square Garden live event. He said it had to be a bucket list item for Heyman, who grew up taking photographs at MSG. Ross spoke about his own in-ring experience at MSG and the anxiety he felt. You can listen to his full appearance at Yahoosportsradio.com.

Powell's POV: Ross also spoke about some WWE Hall of Fame candidates including Mick Foley and Bob Backlund. Pendergast also mentioned Bruno Sammartino. "It is certainly up in the air," Ross said regarding Sammartino. "I have no idea how that will work out. I am hopeful that it will work out, but I do not have any inside knowledge on whether it will or it won't." Ross spoke WWE for the first 12 minutes of his weekly appearance. He spoke about the Oklahoma Sooners game in the Cotton Bowl, and Adrian Peterson going for the NFL rushing record on Sunday, the NFL MVP, and a quick prediction on tonight's UFC 155 main event.
