WWE and Marvel issued a joint press release today announcing that CM Punk has written the introduction to the forthcoming Avengers vs. X-Men Hardcover. Punk is quoted in the release as saying, "To say I'm flattered to write the intro for the biggest comic book crossover EVER would be...well it wouldn't be me. Don't get me wrong, it's super cool, but it also makes sense. Best superheroes in the world? Check. Best writers in the world (plus Ed Brubaker)? Check. Best artists in the world? Yup, them too. Best wrestler in the world. That's me! So it's the best team of all time! We are all the best! Now you will read the best!" The comic will be available in November

Shore's Slant: Punk is a big comic book fan, so I'm sure this is a big moment for him. I thought I heard about this last week, but the WWE press release is from today. Too much wrestling is making me insane, I guess.
