Triple H admits there was "animosity" when Brock Lesnar left WWE in 2004, says a lot of it was blown out of proportion, talks Brock's return
Aug 22, 2012 - 02:25 PM |
In an article for Yahoo Sports covering Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam match, Triple H was interviewed and admitted there was some animosity when Brock left the first time, but nor all of it was legit: "There had been some animosity a little bit in some ways between Brock and the WWE at various points. Some of that was real, some of that was media."
Hunter also talked about the initial contact between Brock and WWE this year: "Brock reached out to us when his UFC contract was done and I think he was just sticking his toe in the water to see if there was any interest. We spoke and the rest is history." The story also quotes Rey Mysterio and tracks Lesnar's career across both of his WWE runs and what happened in-between. Shore's Slant: Yes, this is a couple of days behind, but still an interesting article. Plus, it tracks Lesnar's career for those who may not be familiar with it. The one thing that surprised me a little was that Lesnar reached out to WWE. I assumed Vince came calling as soon as Brock retired, but it looks like the other way around.
