WWE News: The Great Khali has a tumor removed
Jul 26, 2012 - 08:11 PM |
WWE star The Great Khali (a/k/a Dalip Singh) has a tumor removed from his pituitary gland on Wednesday. The 39 year-old underwent surgery at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pa. The procedure was performed by Joseph Maroon. To read more on the story, visit Triblive.com/news/2280702-74/singh-tumor-maroon-wrestling-upmc-team-according-condition-khali-led.
Powell's POV: The story notes that Khali's tumor could have led to acromegaly, which can be fatal if not treated. Late legend Andre the Giant had the same condition. If Maroon's name looks familiar, it's because he serves as the medical director for WWE.
