WWE acknowledges Shawn Michaels' injury, updates his status for Sunday's match against Chris Jericho
Sep 1, 2008 - 11:05 PM

WWE.com posted a brief story on Shawn Michaels damaging his left triceps at the end of Raw, which was taped on Sunday night. The story noted that a medical evaluation revealed "a damaged left triceps."

"Regardless of the severity of the injury, Shawn Michaels has vowed to meet Chris Jericho in their unsanctioned match" at Sunday's Unforgiven pay-per-view. To read the full item, visit WWE.com.

Powell's POV: Michaels told people behind the scenes that he intends to wrestle on Sunday, but it remains to be seen whether doctors will allow him to do so. Even if they do let him wrestle, there's no telling how much he'll be able to do in the ring. One can only assume there will be an injury angle at some point on Sunday night if Michaels needs surgery as expected.
