WWE Smackdown Taping
St. Louis, Mo.
Report by Dot Net reader Adam Dunn
Triple H came out and was interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin. HHH tells them about how promos before pay-per-views work, and invites them to get beat up. The Brian Kendrick ran in through the crowd with Zeke and attacked Triple H, Jeff Hardy ran down and it turned into a big brawl.
1. Maryse beat Maria.
Taker came out and talked about killing Vickie Guerrero. Isn't this a PG show?
2. Shelton Benjamin defeated MVP. Good match, surprise ending with Benjamin winning so cleanly.
3. The Brian Kendrick (w/Ezekiel) defeated Jeff Hardy after Zeke interfered. I'm biased, but I love The Brian Kendrick. He danced before the match and after. He just seems damn comfortable with his character.
4. Brie Bella defeated Victoria.
5. Super Crazy defeated Ryan Braddock. Vladimir Kozlov came down, demanded competition. This brought out Big Show, who challenged him. This brought out Vickie Guerrero, who kicked out both men. She tried to talk for over five minutes, but she received the loudest boos I've ever heard at a show. It was deafening. She basically said she's not afraid of Taker.
Triple H cut a promo and was interrupted by Hardy. Triple H said: "You got two strikes already Jeff, its called three strikes and you're out. Ring, ring, Hello? Yes, he's right here. It's Dr. Black, Jeff, he wants to talk to you." Quite the big thing calling out Jeff's drug problems. Hardy even seemed taken aback.
6. Triple H defeated Great Khali in a lumberjack match. The lumberjacks were the scramble wrestlers. Jeff hit a suicide dive onto all the lumberjacks. Triple H hit the pedigree for the win. Kendrick is either a great seller or legitimately hurt his elbow during the match when Triple H threw him into the stairs. I think he was fine, but he sold it like he broke it. Hardy got in the ring, applauded Triple H, then hit him with a Twist of Fate to end the show.
Post Show
Triple H called each heel back to the ring and Pedigree'd them. He called out Zeke, but he didn't accept and left. End show.
