8/31 WWE Raw taping in St. Louis, Mo.: Details on how Shawn Michaels injured his arm, two top performers return, full spoilers on tonight's show

WWE Raw Taping
St. Louis, Mo.
Report by Dot Net reader Adam Dunn

The show was at least what appeared to be sold out. I saw one section covered, but that's about it. Tons of people.

Randy Orton cut a promo about the Raw brand being pathetic. He ran down all the champions, which brought out C.M. Punk, who said that when Randy gets healthy he'll be here waiting for him. This brought out JBL and Kane, who both talked trash, followed by Batista, who ran in and speared everyone. Orton had already left.

1. Kofi defeated Charlie Haas. Haas came out to John Cena's music and was dressed up like him. Huge ovation then massive boos. Funny stuff, though.

2. Candice Michelle and Kelly Kelly and Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall and Katie Lea. Candace made her return and then her and Beth proceed to botch the ending three times. I'm not kidding. It looked awful as Candace appeared to be trying out a new move, but kept failing. Eventually, Candace won via rollup. Awful, will need to be edited.

3. Mark Henry defeated Finlay, The Miz, Chavo Guerrero, and Matt Hardy to win an ECW Battle Royal. Really short, Henry threw Hardy over to win.

4. Santino defeated D-Lo in about three minutes. D-Lo missed the Low Down, Santino picked up the win. Funny promo before the match by Santino on Orton.

5. The Miz and John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme never started as Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase ran out and attacked Cryme Tyme. This was prompted after Orton slapped Rhodes in the back for being such pathetic tag champs. Rhodes and DiBiase reclaimed their belts.

6. Kane defeated Punk, Batista, JBL. Mysterio did not come down for the match, but Orton came to watch from ringside. After Punk was eliminated, he got in Orton's face and threw a bottle of water at him. Orton left, then Mysterio ran down and got the better of Kane. I don't know why every big man has to act dumb when they fight Mysterio.

Contract Signing: Jericho cut a great promo that I won't repeat in depth, but it's a must watch. The show closed with a stare down I think. However Lance Cade ran in and was attacked by Shawn.

Jericho exited the ring, but tried to get Cade out, prompting Shawn to dive out over the bottom rope. Michaels landed really awkwardly, then held his arm the rest of the time. It looked pretty sick.
