The Raw interruption that WWE issued an apology for was actually a Linda McMahon campaign ad that was shown to Connecticut viewers, according to Dot Net readers Kevin Phillip and John Agostini.

Powell's POV: This will certainly ruffle some feathers with Linda's opponents in the Senate race. WWE claimed in its statement that the glitch was caused by a "technical malfunction at USA Network's Master Control." WWE did not acknowledge in their statement that a campaign ad for Linda was shown.

Update: Dot Net reader David Rebello of New Bedord, Mass. wrote the following: "In my area, the intro for Raw was interrupted but it wasn't by Linda's Campaign ad it was an ad for the UFC pay-per-view and then half of some local advertisement. Other readers have noted that different ads aired outside Connecticut. One reader in Connecticut didn't have any issues, but others have noted that there was definitely a Linda ad that was shown within the state.
