WWE star Mark Henry spoke with Kevin W. Reese of Hot 93.7 and spoke about his injury and recovery from surgery. "It's part of the business," Henry said. "Everybody has injuries. I'm in the process of healing up. I'll be 100 percent when I come back, if I come back, and we'll see what happens." Henry noted that he was injured at Survivor Series and worked through it for three months.
Henry was asked about the time line for his return. "Well, they're saying three months," he said. "Athletes always come back sooner than that. It's up to me. Right now there's a lot of things on my mind as far as my career is concerned and I just need to get all of that addressed before I start thinking about coming back." Powell's POV: Henry didn't specify the nature of his injury, though it appeared he was working through a groin injury. He said he can only lift ten pounds. He also noted that he's lost 15 pounds and intends to lose ten more before he returns. Henry also stated that he wants to act in television and film and he's already turned down projects. He said he aspirations of having his own company or working in developmental with WWE, but he says he doesn't have the patience to be a trainer. He said booking or being an agent would be better for him.
