Jim Ross comments on the Chris Jericho controversy without directly acknowledging it, C.M. Punk's DVD, and WWE Raw's 1,000th episode
May 27, 2012 - 11:20 AM |
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.
-Ross on, um, traveling outside the United States: "Bit of advice for those traveling outside their own borders...know the country of which you are traveling's laws and customs. Take no risks that might be perceived as disrespect and certainly do not break any local laws. When in Rome...."
Powell's POV: Unless Ross is on the verge of launching JR's Travel Agency to go along with the BBQ empire, then I think it's safe to say that this is regarding the Chris Jericho situation.
-Ross on Raw's 1,000th episode: "Getting lots of questions regarding RAW 1000 on July 23 in St. Louis but, unfortunately, I have no answers. I'm not in the loop that makes creative decisions but am proudly looking forward to the milestone event. Whether I'm at that Raw or not, I'm proud of my contributions to the brand over the years and watch the show religiously every Monday night."
Powell's POV: One can only hope that Ross would be asked to take part on that episode given his history on the show. Even if he's not present, one can only assume we'll hear his voice a lot in flashback clips.
-Ross on C.M. Punk's DVD: " The new, @CMPunk DVD will be released in October and the producers said that Punk has been VERY hands on this project including hand picking virtually every element that will make the final edit."
Powell's POV: This one should be a gem given how involved Punk has been with the project. Paul Heyman also joined Punk on commentary for some classic match calls.
Other topics include the latest Legends Roundtable shows, Top 25 Masters of the Mic, Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger from Smackdown, and did JR's UFC 146 predictions pan out?
