May 3, 2012 - 09:47 AM |
Dot Net reader Nick Tant sent the following report on WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler's appearance at an NBA Playoff game on Wednesday.
Jerry "The King" Lawler made a surprise appearance at the Fedex Forum for the Memphis Grizzlies home game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. He appeared during the first qtr intermission and cut a promo about his Memphis roots and the last time someone from Hollywood showed up he piledrove the person. He ended up piledriving a local wrestler at center court and pumped up the crowd for the second quarter.
Powell's POV: Of course, this was a play off of Lawler's legendary feud with Andy Kaufman. Memphis went on to win the game and even the series.
