WWE Extreme Rules onsite report: An in-person perspective on Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena, C.M. Punk vs. Chris Jericho, Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan, and more
Apr 30, 2012 - 06:41 PM

Dot Net reader Jacob Martin attended Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Chicago, Illinois and sent the following report.

The Miz vs. Santino Marella: The Miz actually got a lot of heat with the dueling "really" chants with the crowd. However when the match started 95 percent of the crowd was with Santino.

Kane vs. Randy Orton: Everyone was actually pretty into this match and it turned out much better than expected. Orton got a huge pop during his entrance and after he won.

Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show: Almost everyone was in favor of Rhodes. The Big Show got major heat when he attacked Cody after the match and when he came back again he was booed even more. He also just walked out after with making any interaction so maybe a heel turn is coming. And maybe even a double turn since Cody was actually slapping hands on his way out.

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan: Everybody was behind Bryan even after he made fun of Chicago. It didn't bother me though since I'm from Wisconsin. Sheamus got booed pretty heavily and it was 75-25 in favor of Bryan. The lack of AJ was disappointing, however.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho: Not much to say here other than massive love for Punk throughout. Just saying, Punk's sister is quite the good looking lady.

Nikki Bella vs. Layla: I started a "We Want Kharma" chant in my section and seconds later it was going throughout the arena. I just found it ridiculous that Layla just comes in and wins the title, not that anyone cared though. Bathroom break!

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena: Huge pop for Lesnar and massive Money in the Bank heat for Cena. The crowd loved every punch by Lesnar and seemed really disappointed by Cena winning. The speech he gave afterwards was really awkward since he just got manhandled for 15 minutes.

Best Pop
Punk
Lesnar
Orton
Bryan

Most Heat
Cena
Big Show
Jericho
