Powell's POV: I have no doubt that WWE would have inducted Kaufman if he were alive. Obviously, they use the celebrity wing to garner publicity or even as an endorsement tradeoff (see Drew Carey). Vince McMahon Sr. actually turned down an opportunity to use Kaufman before he worked for Memphis. Yet while he didn't work for WWE, he is as deserving as any celebrity that they have inducted, and hopefully the company will find a spot for him one of these years.
