Former WWE star's MMA debut might be pushed back
Aug 13, 2008 - 09:56 AM |
Bobby Lashley's MMA debut might be pushed back a month. MMApreview.com reports that the AFL promotion that Lashley has signed with is considering the possibility of pushing its first pay-per-view back a month because UFC, EliteXC, Affliction, and Adrenaline already have major shows booked in October. To read the item, visit MMApreview.com.
Powell's POV: I'm still not sure how the AFL intends to sell this pay-per-view. Affliction had Donald Trump promoting their event and they still didn't pop a big buyrate. Even if the AFL has a solid advertising budget, they'll find out the hard way that Lashley is not a big draw.
