WWE News: Man dies after wrestling with his cousin during WrestleMania 28
Apr 2, 2012 - 05:20 PM |
Stephen A. Arceneaux III, a 24 year-old Louisiana man, died on Sunday after wrestling with his 14 year-old cousin during the WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view, reports the New Orleans Times Picayune. The 14 year-old applied a rear naked choke hold on Arceneaux for 30 to 40 seconds, and witnesses say Arceneaux would not tap out.
One of the witnesses noticed that Arceneaux had turned blue and had the teen release the hold. Arceneaux's girlfriend attempted to perform CPR, but he was later taken to a nearby medical facility and pronounced dead. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. Powell's POV: There's a reason they say "don't try this at home." The article did not indicate that criminal charges have been filed on the minor. We'll let you know if that changes. Thanks to Adam Lebow for passing along the story.
