WWE News: Cult classic horror movie rights purchased by WWE Films
Mar 15, 2012 - 10:15 PM |
WWE and Lionsgate are teaming to reboot the horror franchise "Leprechaun." WWE and Lionsgate are sharing production costs and will team up for marketing strategies. The movie is set to be released in 2013, though no writers, directors, or actors are attached to the film at this time. For more on the story, visit Variety.com.
Powell's POV: It remains to be seen whether the original franchise star Warwick Davis will return. He's currently starring in the hilarious HBO comedy "Life's Too Short." Am I the only person who fears that WWE will replace Davis with Hornswoggle? Thanks to Dot Net Member Chris GST and Chris Johnson for passing along the story.
