Jim Ross comments on whether he'd like to buy TNA, a second generation wrestler to keep an eye on, and Brodus Clay

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated the blog section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights. To order J.R.'s BBQ products, visit WWEShop.com.
-Ross on whether he would like to buy TNA: "Lord, no. I have no desire, or the funding, to attempt to manage or own any wrestling company at this stage of my life. There are too many headaches and I'm not into sports psychology or managing a day care center for wrestlers."
Powell's POV: Good call. The level of time, energy, and financial resources would make buying any wrestling company a nonstop job. I'm sure some will somehow interpret this as a shot at TNA, but it reads like an honest answer and I'm guessing the answer would be the same if someone had asked him about buying Ring of Honor.
-Ross on Michael McGillicutty: "Watched Michael McGillicutty in a Superstars match for this week and was impressed with him. Keep Curt Hennig's son in mind as I feel that he can be a viable asset to WWE but the last name has got to go, IMO."
Powell's POV: Wrestlers have also praised Joe Hennig's in-ring ability. One wrestler I spoke with felt that he has the in-ring aspect down and simply needs a makeover and a push. I'd love to see him get that makeover, as the McGillicutty name continues to be a detriment.
-Ross on Brodus Clay: "Enjoyed a conversation with Brodus Clay who has been long one of my favorite prospects since I started going down to FCW in Tampa to work with the developmental talents. Clay is a big, athletic dude who can provide the sizzle ala Dusty Rhodes (@WWEDusty) but his agility is excellent as well. Like the Dream, Clay can get physical when the need arises and we will see more of that as his development continues."
Powell's POV: For what it's worth, one of our correspondents noted that Brodus only had one dancer with him last night when he worked the pre-show dark match. I hope WWE has the next stage of the character's progression mapped out, as his weekly dance routine and one-minute squash is already becoming repetitive.
