WWE News: How much revenue did third quarter live events produce?
Nov 3, 2011 - 08:49 AM |
WWE announced revenues of $23 million for live events held in the third quarter of 2011. They were up slightly from the $22.8 million earned in the same quarter last year. North American events generated $14.2 million for 64 events, up from the $13.8 million earned for 62 events in the same quarter last year. International live event revenue produced $8.8 million for 15 events, down from the $9 million for 16 events produced in the third quarter of 2010.
Powell's POV: There was one additional live event held in the third quarter this year, so the revenue earned during the two quarters was very similar. While international revenue was down, the average attendance increased seven percent compared to the international events held in 2010's third quarter.
