Vince's complaints about Cole's work continued backstage after the show. -Jonathan Coachman hasn't attended television tapings in weeks and it's assumed that he's simply waiting for his WWE contract to expire. Powell's POV: Vince is notoriously tough on the broadcast teams, particularly on Monday nights. Observers say Vince loads up on coffee and energy drinks throughout the day and then works himself into a frenzy by the time the show goes live. He generally takes a lighter approach to the Smackdown/ECW tapings on Tuesdays. Coachman's wife recently gave birth to their first child so his time at home couldn't have come at a better time. I suppose it's possible that he's taking maternity leave, but the buzz remains that Coachman is just waiting for his WWE contract to expire so that he can officially sign with ESPN.
