WWE star Rey Mysterio will not need surgery at this time to repair his injured knee. However, he is facing months of rehab and will miss ring time.

Powell's POV: Mysterio did not wrestle at Tuesday's Smackdown taping as advertised, which led to a lot of concern that he would be undergoing surgery on his chronically injured knee. However, I'm told that he is planning to go the rehab route instead. My guess is that we'll see an injury angle to explain his likely absence from television. Although Mysterio managed to avoid a current surgery, there is a lot of talk that he is headed toward an eventual knee replacement surgery.
