WWE News: Jim Ross explains why he was not on the SummerSlam braodcast team
Aug 15, 2011 - 10:32 AM |
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross offered an explanation on his Twitter page for why he was not on the SummerSlam broadcast team. "Game time decision to use Booker to (represent) Smackdown on tonight's SummerSlam and to work with (Jerry Lawler) and (Michael Cole)," Ross wrote during the pay-per-view.
Ross followed up later. "WWE management made the call late Sunday to use Booker for Smackdown representation," Ross wrote. "No big deal to me." Follow Ross on Twitter at Twitter.com/JRsBBQ.
Powell's POV: It may not have been a big deal to Ross (who was probably just being professional), but it sure was for those of us who had to listen to Booker T instead. Cole appears on Smackdown and that should have been enough representation. You'd think Vince McMahon would have matured enough in his sixties to stop getting his rocks off by messing with Ross.
