WWE Raw rating: Did the C.M. Punk, Vince McMahon, and John Cena saga propel the show to a strong rating?
Jul 14, 2011 - 01:08 PM |
Monday's WWE Raw scored a 2.91 rating, which is up from the 2.40 rating the show drew last week on the Fourth of July holiday. The show scored a 3.13 rating back on June 27.
Powell's POV: This has to be a big disappointment for WWE considering the C.M. Punk angle was in full effect. The followup to the original promo airing on the Fourth of July didn't help matters, and WWE failing to deliver strong hype that Punk would actually appear on Monday's show didn't help either. It's also worth noting that the MLB home run derby scored big ratings and likely took away some usual Raw viewers.
