WWE News: Dolph Ziggler says he's suffered concussions, tired of the wrestlers are on steroids perceptions, says the Spirit Squad members were kept busy on their off days
Jul 7, 2011 - 01:40 PM |
WWE star Dolph Ziggler spoke with The Metro of the UK and spoke about his injury history. "I’ve been very lucky," Ziggler said. "I’ve had two concussions in six years and broke my nose a couple of times but a lot of people have constant injuries. Edge is amazing, he was a very positive influence on me and helped me out backstage but he had to retire recently because of back injuries."
Ziggler was also asked whether it's a source of irritation that the perception of some is that all wrestlers are on steroids. "It is because we’ve gone from the big burly guys who eat hotdogs and live a rough lifestyle to wrestlers who are all health nuts and work out every day," Ziggler said. We’re constantly tested and there are measures to make sure we’re all safe and healthy. I hope that perception changes because we’re highly tuned athletes." Powell's POV: Ziggler also spoke about his legal background, what inspired him to be a wrestler, and said he and the rest of The Spirit Squad went to cheerleading and gymnastics camp on their off days. Thanks to Dot Net Member Steven Dunne for passing along the interview.
