Jim Ross and Michael Cole comment on switching brands via the WWE Draft
Jun 24, 2008 - 10:37 PM

Jim Ross didn't hide his feelings about being moved to Smackdown when he and Michael Cole were interviewed by the WWE website after Raw on Monday night. "I don't like it," Ross said. "I don't like it at all. But that's the way it works. Having announcers and referees in the draft I thought was somewhat asinine to start with. I still feel it's asinine.

"I'd prefer to stay in my routine and work with my long-term partner and still remain on Monday Night Raw, but that's not the way it worked out. Now we just have to take it from here and see how it plays out." To view the full interview, visit WWE.com. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Michael Steitz]

Powell’s POV: I couldn't tell if Ross was holding out hope that the move would be overturned via trade or he was commenting on his future when he stated that he'd "see how it plays out." Cole didn't sound very pleased about the move either, as he once again noted that he's called all but two Smackdown broadcasts since the show debuted.
