Another WWE developmental wrestler arrested
Jun 17, 2008 - 06:12 PM |
WWE developmental wrestler Stu Sanders (a/k/a Stuart Bennett) was arrested on Sunday in Tampa and charged with battery of a law enforcement officer and obstructing or opposing an officer, according to a PWInsider.com report. He was arrested outside a Champps bar and restaurant following an incident with a female patron. The story notes that Bennett is claiming he is innocent and simply tried to leave the bar after a female patron bumped into him.
Powell's POV: WWE recently released former Spirit Squad member Mike Mondo after he was arrested and charged with DUI in Tampa. Given that Sanders is claiming he's innocent and reportedly has witnesses who will testify on his defense, one would think that WWE would at least investigate the situation before they choose to punish Sanders.
