Dot Net Member Christian McGalliard attended the WWE Smackdown taping on Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C. and sent the following report.

Smackdown opened with Alberto Del Rio coming to the ring. He cut a promo and then Edge came out with Alberto's car he destroyed at WrestleMania. They set up a match for later between Alberto and Christian for the No. 1 contendership.

1. Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston, and Santino Marella fought The Corre to an apparent no-contest in a best of three falls match. Kofi won the first fall, and Wade Barrett won the second fall with his finsher on Santino. The third fall turned into a brawl as all wrestlers entered the ring and began fighting. The bell rang but no finish was announced in the arena. Big Show and company eventually ran the Corre out of the ring and posed with Kane as he set off his pyro on the corner ring post.

2. Cody Rhodes beat Trent Baretta via CrossRhodes. Cody was booed and Barreta received no response, as I don't think most knew who he was. After the match Rey Mysterio came out and ran Cody Rhodes out of the ring and to the back.

3. Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix beat LayCool. LayCool had some miscommunications and Layla was knocked off the ring apron at one point, and McCool tried to make a tag. Later while Layla was in the ring, she tried to tag McCool, who grabbed her back and fell off the ring apron. Layla was then pinned. There were some arguing between Laycool as they went up the ramp.

Michael Cole got in the ring to massive heat. He announced Jack Swagger, and they spoke about how great they were, and Cole said no one in the back could match Swagger. They did a victory lap around the ring and then Sin Cara's music hit. He came out to a great pop and did a similar move set display on Swagger like he did on Sheamus during Raw. The crowd seemed excited and anticipated Sin Cara.

There was a video of Layla wanting her and McCool to get couples counseling.

4. Alberto Del Rio beat Christian to earn a World Hvt. Championship match at Extreme Rules. Edge was at ringside on commentary.  At the end Christian went to the top rope, outside the ring Edge speared Brodus Clay and Del Rio jumped up and kicked Christian in the head. Del Rio got the pin as Edge jumped in the ring and looked upset.

Dark Match

1. Big Show, Kane, Christian, Edge, and Triple H defeated The Corre and Alberto Del Rio. HHH came out to a huge pop. This was your basic 10-man tag with HHH only being tagged in at the end. He hit The Pedigree for the win. In a funny moment after the match, Heath Slater was crawling back up the ramp away from the ring, and HHH sat on his back, spanked him, and rode him to the back. 
 
All in all a great time was had and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I hope WWE does not wait as long to come back because it's always a lot of fun in person.
