WWE Smackdown rating: Friday's show blows away previous high mark on Syfy

Friday's WWE Smackdown television show drew a 2.31 rating, which topped the 2.03 rating the show drew the previous week. Smackdown averaged 3.5 million viewers.
Powell's POV: The previous high came for Smackdown on Syfy occurred on January 21 when it drew a 2.07 rating. Friday's show actually approached the 2.53 rating that the Smackdown on USA special drew when the show went live on a Tuesday night. WWE officials have to be thrilled with the ratings growth in 2011.
