WWE News: Smackdown draws the highest viewership total for Syfy on a Friday night in over six years
Jan 25, 2011 - 09:47 AM |
WWE and Syfy issued a press release to tout that Friday's Smackdown drew the highest viewership of any Friday night show on the network in over six years. The press released noted that the company drew 3.3 million total viewers. The last show to draw a better rating than Smackdown on a Friday night was "Stargate Atlantis" back in July 2004. You can read the full press release at TVbythenumbers.zap2it.com.
Powell's POV: In a disastrous week for WWE stock, the company can at least boast that the Friday night show is trending upward. It will be interesting to see whether the trend continues with Friday's show. Thanks to Dot Net reader Juan Mariscal for passing along the press release.
