Dot Net reader Johnny Mo attended the WWE Smackdown taping in Tulsa, Okla. on Tuesday and passed along the following report.

"The Corre" (that's right, two r's) opened the show in the ring. Barrett explained that he made an error with Nexus by making the group all about him. He said The Corre is going to be an equal partnership and then gave each member a chance to introduce himself to the crowd. All three of them sucked on the mic, but I guess Gabriel was the lesser of three evils.
 
Teddy Long came out and told The Corre that they would not run Smackdown like they ran Raw. Long said he is not a computer or an anonymous GM and he will make The Corre play by the rules if they want to stay on Smackdown. Long tried to make a weird analogy about how The Corre arrived on Smackdown, saying he didn't care if they had came on the "ninja, pinta, or the santa maria." I'm anxious to see how WWE edits this. Surely they won't leave Long saying "ninja" in stead of nina on national TV. Barrett told Long that he had the wrong idea. He said The Corre had a lot of respect for him as a GM.
 
Alberto Del Rio then drove out in a car that I'm guessing the announcers will say is worth $100K. Del Rio told The Corre that winning the Royal Rumble was his destiny. The Corre left the ring and R-Truth made his entrance to face Del Rio.
 
1. Del Rio beat R-Truth. Del Rio won clean with his cross arm-breaker after Ricardo Rodriguez distracted R-Truth. It was a fine match, but I'm not sure why WWE keeps putting these two together. I believe this is four matches with Del Rio and four losses for R-Truth. A few minutes into the match the jumbotron showed Vickie, Dolph, Michael Tarver (why I don't know), and a doctor standing over an unconscious Teddy Long wondering what had happened. Later, they cut to the tron again to show Teddy being taken away in an ambulance.
 
2. Beth Phoenix beat Layla (w/Michelle McCool). No one cared.
 
The Corre was in Vickie and Dolph's office backstage. The Corre says they want to clear the air and let everyone know they had nothing to do with what happened to Teddy Long. Vickie told them that she knows they are responsible, and tonight she wants one of them to face Edge. She said she wants them to do to Edge exactly what they are known for doing.
 
3. Rey Mysterio pinned Cody Rhodes after a 619. Decent match. Cody's nose was bloodied when he left the ring, but I couldn't tell when it happened or if it was legit.
 
Todd Grisham gave an update from backstage saying Teddy Long was being cared for at a local hospital. Miz and Alex Riley interrupted, and Miz cut a Mizzy promo. 
 
Jim Ross and Jack Swagger were backstage. Swagger told JR that he moved to Houston because Oklahoma sucks (Ross has since mentioned on Twitter that this will not air on the television show).
 
4. Jack Swagger beat Kofi Kingston in a 3:00 minute round of amateur wrestling. Swagger wore a mouthpiece and headgear and beat Kofi on points 10 to 6. This might come off better on TV with commentary to explain what is happening, but it fell pretty flat for the live crowd.
 
5. Drew McIntyre beat Trent Barreta. McIntyre worked very stiff with Barreta and pinned him after hitting his double underhook DDT. After the match, Drew tried to shake Barreta's hand. Barreta refused to shake hands and Drew attacked him. Kelly Kelly came out to save Barreta.
 
The Miz came out and talked about what he did to Randy Orton on Monday. Edge interrupted. Miz told Edge he will beat him on Monday, and Edge said that Miz is 27th or 32nd on his list of things to do. Edge speared Riley and teased spearing Miz, but Miz backed off. Miz helped Riley to the back.
 
Vickie introduced Dolph as a guest commentator for the main event. The Corre entered and Justin Gabriel (odd choice) entered the ring for a match with Edge.

6. Justin Gabriel defeated Edge in a non-title match. Gabriel won via interference from The Corre. After the match, The Corre beat down Edge in typical fashion. After The Corre left, Ziggler climbed inside the ring and stood over Edge. This is presumably where the show will end.

Dark Match

1. Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio defeated Alberto Del Rio and Kane. Kofi and Rey came down to help Edge and cleared Ziggler from the ring. Jim Ross was the special referee. The faces won after Rey 619'ed everyone. Kofi and Rey then danced with JR as the OU fight song played.
 
We'll see how the show comes off on TV, but it was sub-par as a live event compared to other shows I've seen. Part of the problem is that the NXT and Superstars tapings killed the crowd by the time SD got started.
