WWE Smackdown ratings: How did the show perform on USA Network compared to the replay on Syfy last week?
Dec 28, 2010 - 03:32 PM

The live edition of WWE Smackdown drew a 2.53 rating for USA Network on Tuesday, which his up from the 2.2 household rating that we quoted yesterday. The replay of the show on Christmas Eve produced a 1.14 rating on Syfy.

Powell's POV: The Tuesday night rating was much stronger than even the highest rating the show has drawn since it moved to Syfy. Smackdown's best number on Syfy has been a 1.78 rating. I'm sure some of the success on Tuesday is attributable to the show airing on WWE's flagship network, but I also wonder whether this will lead WWE and Universal officials to consider the idea of changing nights.

It's worth noting that Syfy actually moved its original programming from Friday night to Tuesday night to make room for Smackdown on their Friday night schedule. Check out our latest poll on the main page to vote on whether you prefer Smackdown on Tuesday nights or Friday nights.
