WWE News: Matt Hardy finally released

Matt Hardy got his wish on Friday when WWE released him. You can read the official blurb at WWE.com.
Powell's POV: Hardy teased that this news was going to be announced via his own Twitter page earlier today. There's no word yet on whether the typical 90-day noncompete clause is in effect, but all signs point to him going to TNA once he's contractually free given his comments in recent online videos.
