WWE Championship match set for the Bragging Rights pay-per-view
Oct 4, 2010 - 10:15 PM |
By Rich Twilling
Wade Barrett won a battle royal on Monday's WWE Raw, and as a result, he will face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at the Bragging Rights pay-per-view in three weeks.
Twill's Two Cents: Barrett won the battle royal after John Cena eliminated himself. It was stipulated earlier in the show that Cena would be fired if he did not follow Barrett's orders. I'm surprised they are going with Barrett in a singles main event on PPV, but clearly, the WWE Championship is taking a back seat to the Cena vs. Nexus feud.
It was also noted in a segment involving The Miz and Edge (who was traded to Smackdown), that a Raw vs. Smackdown match would take place on the show, but no official announcement was made.
