"No, because there was no problem or controversy—and Rock is first and foremost a gentlemen," Cena said. "...And Rock is one of those guy who gave the 'I've wanted to do this all my life' speech, but in actuality he wanted to be an actor. Now trust me, that is totally fine with me. It's OK. But just don't say one thing and do another. Because our fans are extremely loyal and when yo do that it pisses me off. "All of us work so hard to make the show as good as it can be. So it's hard when people give the impression of 'this is the greatest gig in the world' and then jump ship to make movies. Now I have every interviewer in the world asking me when I'm leaving to make movies. And the answer is I'm never doing that, because I love wrestling more than I do movies. "It's guys like that who set the precedent of using wrestling as a stepping stone to do films. Powell’s POV: Well, he's not backing down. That's twice in the same day we've heard Cena stand by his previous comments regarding Rock. I don't think it's fair to say that Rock always wanted to be an actor. I could be wrong, but I never got the sense that he started in WWE with the intent of becoming an actor. I think his career skyrocketed in to a level that even could not have foreseen. Again, I respect the fact that Cena is willing to stand by his words, but he lost me this time around. I understood where he was coming from the first time around, but this latest bit about Rock always wanting to be an actor and setting the precedent for using wrestling as a stepping stone to do movies doesn't ring true. Does anyone really get the sense that people are training to be wrestlers with the belief that it will somehow lead to a Hollywood career? There's a lot more to this interview than just Cena's take on Rock, and I highly recommend it.
