WWE News: Christian comments on his torn pectoral surgery and how long he expects to be out out action
Sep 30, 2010 - 01:43 PM |
WWE star Christian (a/k/a Jay Reso) underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. The surgery was conducted by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.
"I’ve never had surgery before, so I’ve never been put under anesthesia,” Christian told the WWE website. "They told me that they were about to put the anesthesia in my IV. I expected to go under gradually … and the next thing I remember was opening my eyes and Dr. Andrews telling me that the surgery was finished. It was so weird. It was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced." To read more on the story, visit WWE.com.
Powell's POV: Christian noted that he can begin light rehab next week and hopes to be full recovered in four months. That's two months shy of initial projections for his recovery. Barring a quicker than expected surgery, he will miss the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but he should be back in time for WrestleMania 27. For those who missed it, WWE booked an injury angle to put heat on Alberto Del Rio for causing the injury.
