WWE News: Drug banned by WWE, usage no longer allowed even with a doctor's prescription
Sep 16, 2010 - 10:37 AM |
WWE has banned the use of Carisprodol (a/k/a somas) per the updated wellness policy, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. The policy yet to be added to the Wellness Policy that is listed on the WWE corporate website.
Powell's POV: Somas have led to problems in pro wrestling for decades, so this is a significant change for WWE. I'm sure this won't be a popular move with everyone in the locker room, but there's enough of a negative history with the drug in pro wrestling that many will admit that its' an overdue move.
This original source for the above news was Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com.
