John Cena appears on the radio to hype his movie, comments on becoming a heel and building new stars in WWE
Sep 8, 2010 - 04:27 PM

By Rich Twilling

John Cena appeared on the "BJ Shea Morning Experience" (99.9 KISW Seattle) to promote 'Legendary.' He was asked about turning heel and responded with this."That debate will go on for as long as programming resumes. I try to send a message, a positive message, to our youthful audience. I really do like my job, I like who I work for, I have fun being out there; I honestly, at this point in my career...I wouldn’t be a very good bad guy. I’ve heard those rumors before, 'man, you’d be such a better bad guy.' I don’t have a lot to be angry at man."

Cena was also asked about building new stars and who currently impressed him amongst the crop of newer talent in WWE. "I’ve certainly haven’t taken him under my wing because he beats to his own drum and will tell you how good he is but I’m surprised with The Miz. I think he’s done a fantastic and this period of evolution in the WWE really reminds me of 2002 when I got involved. That was a time when Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Mick Foley… guys like that where really at the top of their game and then they were gone and the WWE had to reinvent itself with names like Batista, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, myself. [Thank you to Steve Migliore].
