WWE legend The Honky Tonk Man comments exclusively to Prowrestling.net on Linda McMahon and the death of Lance Cade
Aug 26, 2010 - 10:35 AM

The Honky Tonk Man (a/k/a Roy Farris) sent the following note to Prowrestling.net regarding Linda McMahon and the death of former WWE wrestler Lance Cade.

Just read a sad story online where the young lady golfer found dead last month in Colorado was a victim of suicide. I hope the media doesn't blame Linda McMahon and WWE for this one too. My point being the media are a joke. WWE or Linda McMahon are not responsible for wrestling deaths. What people do or take outside the walls of WWE is nothing to do with the company and it's a joke how much they beat up on WWE and Linda McMahon.

I met Linda McMahon probably only five times in my whole WWE run so when she said she met Lance Cade, maybe once she's right. WWE is taking care of guys even those who have recently worked for TNA and have changed a lot of guys life's for the better. The bigger the star, the bigger the target. WWE is the number one wrestling company so everyone goes after them. What happened to people being responsible for their own actions?

Linda is a lovely lady and will make a huge difference. It's a terrible loss to the wrestling world when anyone passes away and even worse when it's avoidable. It can't continually be pointed at WWE. There's a huge difference to what an on air talent, even Linda McMahon may have portrayed on WWE television to real life and everyone knows it. Why not get down to basics and ask questions that matter?

WWE has done nothing but try and clean up the wrestling industry and I applaud them for that. "Character" stuff aside, good news doesn't sale so no one prints it. What about the massive difference WWE make to charities, the kids at "Make a Wish" foundation why is none of that ever covered?  I Roy Farris, "The Honky Tonk Man" fully support Linda McMahon in her senate race and pledge her my full support.
