WWE Hall of Famer Greg Valentine says TNA wrestlers Hulk Hogan Ric Flair should stop wrestling, Valentine recalls the wake up call that made him realize it was time to stop
Jul 1, 2010 - 12:17 PM

WWE Hall of Famer Greg Valentine told Alex Marvez of Scripps News that fellow Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair should stop wrestling. "I don't think Ric should work anymore," Valentine said. "Eventually, he might end up get hurt bad. I know Hogan has had hip surgeries, and now he's having back surgeries. It is financial (why they're still wrestling). It hurts me to see that."

Although he hasn't completely ruled out working another match, Valentine recalled a wake up call he received that made him think it's time to hang up the boots. "When I hurt myself last year in Chicago, I felt maybe God was telling me to finally quit," he said. "He's taken care of me when I was thinking, 'Where am I going to make money?,' and this and that. I've been blessed since this accident." To read the full interview, visit ScrippsNews.com.

Powell's POV: Valentine also stated that WWE is planning to release an an autobiography and DVD on his best matches. For those unfamiliar with the story, Valentine tore his quadriceps when he slipped on what he claims were faulty ring steps while performing at an indy show in Chicago. The 60 year-old Valentine filed a lawsuit over the incident.
