"I remember in Toronto, having a meeting with Vince, and it was my third week on TV … and he just said, ‘all right, well, we want to change your name … I want you to change your name,” Anderson told the Barrie Advance. Kennedy added that Paul Heyman suggested he come up with a name that would appeal to McMahon. "I really wanted to wrestle as Ken Anderson," continued Kennedy. "I was kind of happy with the fact that I made it using my real name. And I went in and asked Vince what he thought about Kennedy, and he liked it. So that was just a matter of switching the name, but everything else has stayed the same." To read the full story, click here. Powell’s POV: Of course, Vince's middle name is Kennedy, so clearly Ken took Heyman's advice. One can only assume that the name would have been a big part of the storyline that was supposed to result in Kennedy being identified as Vince's illegitimate son.
