Chris Jericho says steroids aren't part of the business, WWE spokesman clearly not watching the product
Apr 21, 2008 - 12:23 PM

Chris Jericho sang the praises of WWE Wellness Policy during an interview with the Daily Mail. "They're not part of the business anymore," Jericho said regarding steroids. "They can't be. We've been strictly tested over the past couple of years, but they're not really necessary to wrestling. A lot of this is more about mind and personality."

Elsewhere in the story, WWE spokesman Henry Jacob claimed that Hornswoggle's role is limited to outside the ring. "He doesn't actually wrestle," Jacob said. "It wouldn't be fair. So, his job is to trip up someone or hit them with a stick or do something silly. Then he'll run off again. It's really funny and all part of the story." To read the full story, visit DailyMail.com.

Powell's POV: Like most wrestlers, Jericho can make that claim with a straight face because the interviewer asked him specifically about steroids, not HGH, ridiculously high levels of testosterone that are permitted as long as the wrestlers have a prescription from a doctor, or other performance-enhancing drugs.

Even if this interview was conducted prior to Horny wrestling at the Smackdown tapings last week, I guess Jacob missed out on Hornswoggle's run with the now defunct WWE Cruiserweight Title.

Did Sting winning the TNA Title with help from Kevin Nash enhance your enjoyment of the BFG PPV or make you want to order the replay?
Yes. The interference didn't bother me enough to take away from the show or the title change.
No. The finish was a letdown and I'm tired of cheap finishes.
