WWE has added new language to the Wellness Policy that prohibits wrestlers from striking one another with chairshots to the head. "WWE has eliminated using folding metal chairs to 'strike' an opponent in the head," reads the Wellness Policy.

"The WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension the following: The intentional use of a folding chair to 'strike an opponent in the head. Any blow to the head that is deemed an intentional act." To view the new concussion program details, visit WWE.com.

Powell's POV: A long overdue move. I wish the company was a little more clear about what the punishment is, as it looks like they are leaving it up to John Laurinaitis to decide on a per case basis. Overall, though, it's a good move and we can only hope that TNA and other wrestling promotions will follow the lead of WWE.
