The Honky Tonk Man sent the following note to Prowrestling.net on Friday in response to Jesse Ventura claiming in an About.com interview that Hulk Hogan was paid more than every other wrestler combined at WrestleMania 3.

"I was there at Wrestlemania 3. We all knew Hogan was the stooge, he always was. I remember even as a young 'Terry the Hulk Boulder,' (Brutus) Beefcake was and still is his eyes and ears.

"Beefcake runs to Hogan with everything he sees and hears, same as Bubba (The Love Sponge) does now. Brian Blair was close with Hogan until Brian sided with Jesse about the union stuff. Pretty soon Brian and Jesse were gone.

"Hogan had Vince's (McMahon) ear. What Ventura said about Hogan’s Mania 3 payday is true. We all knew Hogan made a big score on that payday and many more PPV's."
