Former Sprit Squad member Nicky Nehmeth says WWE requires most wrestlers to wear protective gear
Apr 17, 2008 - 12:49 PM |
Nicky Nehmeth stated during an interview with Wrestle-Complex that WWE requires most of the wrestlers to wear protective gear. He ran through some of the injuries he's suffered in the ring and said: "That's why they make us wear gear to protect ourselves. Knee caps, elbow cabs, and everything else. Guards and stuff, it can be dangerous if you don't have those things on, and it is required by the WWE as well. Well except a few wrestlers, but most need and are required to." Powell's POV: Nehmeth also discussed his current career and said he hopes to return to the active roster. He's finishing up in Ohio Valley and hopes to secure a contract with Florida Championship Wrestling. There's a lot more to the interview, including his comments on whether he enjoyed being part of the Spirit Squad.
